    Moderation Policy

Moderation is only done by gumi Europe staff and a team of community members who have been hand picked by gumi Europe staff.

These community members have accepted to dedicate some of their free time to assist us in enforcing Rules of Conduct, moving threads, helping players and deleting content when needed. All their comments and opinions are their own and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of gumi Europe.

Moderation may lead to sanctions which as detailed in our Forum Offense System.

Here are the most important facts regarding moderation:

    • Moderators can take action at any time:
While we cannot review every single message posted, and are not responsible for the content of any of them, we reserve the right to edit or delete any message for any reason, as well as serve bans without any warning. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages.

    • Decisions made by the moderation team are final:
All decisions regarding thread closure and movement, permanent and temporary bans, and any other relevant issues are made by either gumi Europe Staff or the moderation team and are therefore final. Trying to bypass a ban by creating alternative accounts is strictly forbidden.

    • Refrain from posting a message that has been removed:
If you realize that one or more of your messages have been removed, there is most likely a good reason behind it and we refer to your common sense to avoid repeating any mistake. Repeated offenses will always result in harsher sanctions.

    • Do not dispute moderation policy or action within the forum itself:
Whether it is to give constructive criticism and suggestions or to dispute an action that you believe was unfair, forum threads are absolutely not the right place to discuss such things. For any inquiry about why a user has been banned, or any other subjects about our moderation policy, you are free to send a private message to any Moderator.

    • Do not perform "backseat" moderation in the absence of moderators:
Moderators have been picked for a reason, which is to not have just anyone acting like a moderator. We do ask you not to call out your fellow forum members publicly by posting messages such as "You are definitely a hacker and should be banned" or "You have no right to post this here". If you feel like something has not been filtered properly by the moderation team, you should notify a moderator so they can take action.

You can always help the moderation team by immediately reporting objectionable content via the "Report" button or by contacting a moderator in private. We will make every effort to remove such content, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary.

Moderation is always a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately.

Thank you for respecting moderation at all times!
